Something for Baby, Something for Mama! Citrus Lane March ’14 Review

3 May

We received Bean’s March Citrus Lane box and it was a sweet box full of goodies for baby and mama… it was my birthday month after all! 🙂

Start Spring with a Bang! Get 50% off your First Box here!

Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and even though we now live in Bend, I certainly think they are a great company in the Bay Area and will continue my reviews for this site! 🙂
Though I invite you mamas to head over to my new Mama Bendia blog, where I’ll continue to review products, talk mama-ness, things to do in Central Oregon, and general musings!

Upon signing up for Citrus Lane, we provided age and gender of our little dude and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s March 2014 box for a 17mth-ish old boy :

~ Board book from My Chronicle Books :
We received a cute, little You Are My Baby board book… we got the Farm themed book, but look… there is, also, Safari, Garden, and Ocean to choose from on their site!
This is pretty good timing, because finally(!) Bean is interested in sitting down to read a short little book and these board books are great for that. The “You are my baby” book is good for not only the interactivity of turning a page, but also there is a wee little page to turn… the baby page, as it were! So adorable, interesting, and fun!

~ Qubes by Hape :
What a cute little selection of playing blocks/cubes! We received the City Planner Blocks and Bean could not have been more happy! He instantly started playing with them… in fact, he worked on his ‘in’ skills and continually dumped the blocks out of their package and then replaced them into the package, then dumped them out, then replaced them… on and on, apparently, so fun!
When he moved on to another toy, I took it upon myself to build something out of the blocks! Novel idea, indeed!
This caught Bean’s attention and he quickly came over to Godzilla my structure and then laughed and laughed… typical toddler. I sure do love this age!

~ Body Lotion by Weleda :
Yay! Super great, a little something for mama… and during my birthday month! So awesome!
I received a Full Size bottle of Citrus Hydrating Body Lotion, as described on the in Citrus Lane insert, “made with organic ingredients… light, refreshing citrus scent… helps us fast-forward to Spring while hydrating dry Winter skin.”
Well, I can’t argue with this description! It does have a nice outdoorsy Spring scent, and it’s a nice light lotion with aloe vera.
Can I just tell you… the pump they use to dispense the lotion is so very cool! It’s different than the plunger type pumps and it looks like it will stay nice and clean, not get all globbed up. I’m excited for sunny days, this is gonna be a great staple in my skincare regime!

~ A cute first aid kit by Me4kidz :
We got this cute little MediBuddy first aid kit in the Penquin theme! This item is, basically, for mama and baby, right!? 🙂 It’s small enough, with lots of go-to items, to put in diaper bag, stroller, or glove box. Actually, Bean, has been pretty curious about the little carrying case  too, as it’s not been opened yet!
Comes with kid-friendly, latex free bandages; knee & elbow bandages; antibiotic ointment; sting-free antiseptic wipes (sting free!?!? really!?!?); 2×2 gauze pads; kid-friendly stickers (this is a must!!); and one carry case!

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent about $42, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!
We are very happy with this box!

We opt for a yearly membership, so we pay just about $20/mth… but you can go a month at time for just $29 AND Get a whopping 50% off your very one 1st box here!

It’s so fun watching my guys’ (hubs and boy) open the Citrus Lane box every month!
Look forward to April… Earth Month! 🙂

Beautiful and Dreamy! Citrus Lane February ’14 Review

17 Mar

We received Bean’s February Citrus Lane box and it was a beautiful little play world!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s February 2014 box for a 16mth-ish old boy :

~ Dive Bath Appliques ‘toys’ from Boon :
We’re lucky… our little guy loves the water… swimming and bathing. He’s received some great bath toys in his Citrus Lane boxes and this month’s bath toys did not disappoint! These Bath Appliques by Boon are wicked cool! They stick to the bath surfaces when wet, allowing babe to create a little story or dreamy bath scene with the cool shapes and colors… shark, submarine, manta ray, orange fish, whale, etc! And they are BPA & PVC free and will not absorb mold (yuck!).
(in the photo, you’ll note the Scrubbles, also by Boon, that we received in Ocotober 2013. These are, also, a big hit!)

Citrus Lane Feb 14 Bath

~ Silicone Bowl from Oogaa :
A blue soft bowl for eating yummy food… awesome PVC & Phthalate free Silicone bowl that is not to heavy for little Bean to carry to the coffee table to have a snack from. It’s so cute watching him take the little bowl in his hands and walking carefully to the table. He later learned that it was soft and therefore fun to squish! Ah, the wonder of the world!
Little 22mth old cousin got a pink plate, which she loved and wanted to use immediately.

~ Starlight Sailor boardbook by Barefoot Books :
Beautiful and Dreamy… this book made my sis and me say ‘Awe!’ when it came out of our respective Citrus Lane boxes! It’s is such a gorgeous book, in fact my sis keeps her on her coffee table… and our littles like it as well!
I can’t wait until Bean is a bit more ‘settled’ in his sitting to let me read this to him and go through the pages… as it is we can skip about and look at the wonderful illustrations… I’m so very pleased with this book!

~ Age Defy Hand Cream by Juice Beauty :
Yummy! A good for Mama! And this stuff is seriously dreamily creamy and makes my hands beautiful!
I thought ‘age defying hand cream’ was a weird idea… but then I realized it makes so much sense, we show age in our hands a lot and for me that’s just intensived by the fact that I am so busy with Bean that I can’t get some hand lotion on when I need to! Enter Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream… smells so good, feels so great, and my hands seriously love it! Made with mostly organic ingredients, this is a must have for all hands!

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent about $47, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!
This was a very good box, indeed!!

We opt for a yearly membership, so we pay just about $20/mth… but you can go a month at time for just $29 AND Get a whopping 50% off your very one 1st box here!

It’s so fun watching my guys’ (hubs and boy) open the Citrus Lane box every month!
Look forward to March… this Mama’s BDay month!

Happy New Year! Citrus Lane January ’14 Review

13 Mar

Happy New Year everyone! Yeah… a little late over here! I’m a mama to a toddler after all! 😉
With that being said… we received Bean’s January Citrus Lane box in good order and it was a blast!
It was, also, the first month Bean’s cousin received her gift box from Citrus Lane… it was so fun to compare goodies.

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s January 2014 box for a 15mth-ish old boy :

~ Shape Sorter by Plan Toys :
Plan Toys is another great Bay Area company with a great retail location in Palo Alto.
This is cute… but I’m not gonna lie, I thought this Shape Sorter was a little young and too simple for Bean!
But I though, eh, it’ll be a good ’emergency’ toy to keep in the car… and so I found out… it was instead a good ‘go to’ toy! Bean grabbed on to it and didn’t let it go for a good few days every time we got in the car and it posed a challenge for him… which is a good thing! Turns out it was a fun and novel toy for our 20mth-ish cousin too, as she received it in her January box.

~ Zoo Lunchie by Skip Hop :
Oh my… sooooo cute! This little lunch box is so adorable, perfect little first lunch box.
Insulated and easy to wipe clean, it’s a great size for a few snacks, a sippy cup, and an ice pack.
The handle has a buckle which allows it to be clipped to a diaper bag.
Just check out all these animals they offer… doggie, bee, panda, lady bug, owl, fox, cat and more!
But, what’s this!?!??! Not only did Citrus Lane smartly pack this month’s boxes with great items for little dude and little miss… but they, ALSO, happened to know Just The Right animal lunchie to give each of the kiddos!
Bean received the Doggie and our niece received the Owl… perfecto-ness, indeed!

~ Ouchies Jr. Bandages :
Ah! Cute latex-free bandages sold in a lead-free tin… and a reminder that little Bean is getting ever more active… are boo boos in his future!?!?
Oh Boo Hoo, I say!

~ Dish Liquid from Dapple :
We got another Travel Size of this stuff… it’s a nice cleaning product for baby’s items, with a pleasant scent.

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent about $32, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!

It’s so fun watching my guys’ (hubs and boy) open the Citrus Lane box every month! :)
Look forward to February!

Babes in the Arts! CitrusLane December ’13 Review

8 Feb

Bean’s December Citrus Lane! box was a fun little package of an artsy project and learning artsy stuff! :)

Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and I could not be more happy with their service!
Even though we’ve recently moved to Bend, I certainly look forward to our continued deliveries and brightening my baby’s (and my hubs’) faces with new toys every month! :)

Upon signing up, we provided age and gender of our little one and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s December 2013 box for a 14mth-ish old boy :

~ A Handprint Art Kit from Pearhead :
This little Handprint Kit was designed just for Citrus Lane, though it’s similar to this Cutesy Baby & Me Handprint set! This canvas has enough room to make an artsy little ‘family’ handprint piece. What’s even more cool is that if we make a mistake, we can just wet and blot off and start over! Bean has been very into art lately, I think this is right up his alley!

~ First Shapes Jumbo Knob Puzzle by Melissa & Doug :
We have some great Melissa & Doug toys that Bean enjoys, so it was lovely to see one of their puzzles in this month’s box. Bean really does like this one too… it seems he enjoys trying to match the shapes to their puzzle places. The pieces have big knobs which are easy for him to pick up and the shapes have wonderfully bright colors that we play around with!

~ Another cute Barefoot Books Board Book :
Cleo in the Snow! Aha! So appropriate for our new town of Bend, Oregon. Pretty cute little books they publish!

~ Snuggly Lotion from Episencial :
Mmm… we like Baby Time! products, so it was nice to get another yummy (and new to us!) product to try out.
Snuggly lotion is light enough for daily use, is non-greasy, and has wonderful ingredients… avocado, primrose, flax oils to nourish delicate baby skin.

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent about $42, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!

As always, we are excited for Happy New Year’s box!!!!

Orbit Baby… Kinda’ like ‘Iron Man’ for babies, if you get it in Red!

12 Jan

“Can we get the red color, it’s like Iron Man?!”

This is what my husband asked the first time we saw an Orbit Baby Stroller System while at the Fly Me To The Food truck event! SOOOOO freaking cool this thing was… we were just freshly pregnant and the mom who was wheeling it around took us through all the fancy-fancies of the thing! We later learned that showing an interested person all the ‘greatness’ of Orbit Baby is basically par for the course… we fall in the habit of doing just that all the time!

Uh… yeah… I’d heard this is a spendy Stroller… but we were basically hooked… and pretty much forgot to look at any other Stroller/Carseat System after that. This stroller is worth it!

We ended up going with the Mocha color, because our little dude’s nursery was blue and brown… hubs was not too upset, as I’m sure he’ll find other ways to instill ‘Iron Man’ coolness into our boy’s life! HA!

Orbit Baby’s namesake has got to be the fact that it does a 360 Orbit on its base… the circular feature is on the stroller and on the carseat base and on all the seats (infant carseat, toddler carseat, and toddler stroller seat).
This is the feature that makes people’s eyes pop, and ours sure did when we saw it…
I knew this feature was a must for me, to keep my back from popping too! Ha!

Man, before I saw the Orbit Baby, I just kept thinking about scoot scoot scootching a carseat into the back of our car and holding it just right to clip it on the base all while keeping it rear-facing and doing this over and over as babe grew heavier and heavier!
Duh! Just get the Orbit Baby and gently and easily place the seat in the car, with your center of gravity in tact, and then swivel it towards the rear-facing position without wrenching your back… ah, ideal!

Orbit Baby has many features besides that dang cool orbiting!
They are made with Eco-Friendly, Green Fabric (Certified Orbit Green)… I.E. safe (!), but without the unnecessary nasty, crappy chemicals!

When baby is in the Orbit Baby Infant carseat they basically look like a little yolk cradled in a shell… there is, basically, carseat (walls and padding) all around them!
It’s, also, so cute when my little guy falls asleep and is so peacefully cuddled into his Orbit Baby Carseat. On that note, if I stop somewhere while baby is asleep, all I have to do is get the easy-peasy Stroller out of the back of the car; swivel baby in carseat towards me; then put him on the stroller base and swivel him to any direction I need (i.e. out of sun, facing me, facing world (if he’s awake), etc.)
So great! He stays asleep because I’m not fighting my body into impossible twists and turns to get his seat out and then onto the stroller in the right formation.

The Orbit Baby is Local to the Bay Area… we were able to order ours on-line and head over to Fremont a few days later to pick up the whole system and get a little ‘how-to’ and ‘safety’ talk about it!
PLUS… We got to see the exact stroller used in “The Office” episode, in which Dwight takes the new fangled Orbit Baby stroller for a ‘test-drive’!
We didn’t even know it was an Orbit Baby stroller that was in that episode… but, we totally loved finding that out! We even took a funny picture with it!

So… that’s all great and good, right!?
But, ya know what!?
Their warrenty and warrenty service is equally wonderful… we had a couple things that needed to be addressed within the first year, thinking it was going to be a battle to deal with getting a replacement, I was dejected for about all of 2secs, then I spoke with Customer Service and they informed me that we were still covered for replacement and that we’d get it the next day… and that was very true, we had a whole new carseat the very, freaking next day!!

So… yeah… we are converts!

When we purchased the system, we also, received the Bassinet, in which our baby slept for his first three-or so months!

We have the Toddler Carseat now, just ready for our little dude to get a wee bit taller to sit in!
And, I am so looking forward to getting a Toddler Stroller Seat when we transistion the carseat!
That, the toddler seat, will be in Ironman Red! 🙂

So… if you’ve been curious, I can say without reservation, Orbit Baby your Baby!
It’s worth it, truly!

Growing Up Big! CitrusLane November’13 Review

12 Dec

Indeed! Bean’s November Citrus Lane! box was truly a show of how much he’s growing and items to assist in helping him develop and grow further! 🙂

Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and I could not be more happy with their service!
Even though we’ve recently moved to Bend, I certainly look forward to our continued deliveries and brightening my baby’s (and my hubs’) faces with new toys every month! 🙂

Upon signing up, we provided age and gender of our little one and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s November 2013 box :

~ A Green Toys Tug Boat :
So wonderful… it was an immediate hit, even out of the water!
Seems Citrus Lane and Green Toys have a wonderful relationship… as Bean has received quite a few Green Toys and he’s always been super pleased! As well, the toys are always, amazingly, well planned to his developmental interests!

~ Fun Utensil set by Skip Hop :
Here we are… Bean is eating up a storm! He enjoys food (thank goodness, because this helps him grow bigger!) and loves feeding himself, so I typically set him up in his highchair and place finger foods on the tray for him to go for… recently, he’s expressed a big need to use (aka : hold) utensils. These Zootensils may help feed his need… and how cool is it that he got the Shark image!? 🙂

~ Fantastic Reusable Snack Bags by Bumkins :
We already have a few Bumkins bibs and a wet bag (from a previous Citrus Lane box)… so this was a great, useable addition to our collection!
Bumkins products are so easy to use and clean!  I’ll enjoy the ease of taking snacks (he’s loving berries & crackers lately!)  along for my growing boy to munch on. Of course, these bags do not have to be used only for baby snacks, if I were so inclined I could reserve one for doggie treats or to hold little items that I need to keep in the diaper bag… hmm, what else can these great baggies be used for!?

~ Lip Comfort by Pur~lisse :
Yay… a little something for mama!
Dang, and wouldn’t ya know it… I didn’t pack it with my ‘necessities’ during 30days of Temp Housing in Bend!
Hit day 2 in our new town and BAM! Snow and close to Zero temps… my lips will be happy to get a bit of Lip Comfort in a couple weeks!
It’s petroleum-free and uses jojoba oil, shea, mango, and vegetable  butters to hydrate dry, wintery lips! I’m game!

~ A coupon for a Second Blends by Plum Organics :
A nice blend of fruit, veg, and sometimes a grain for those baby’s ready for the the next big!
I do understand that Plum Organics had a recall on some of their pouches and, thus, Citrus Lane diligently pulled the originally enclosed pouches for the November Boxes and replaced them with this coupon. I, actually, find that action to be admirable of both Citrus Lane & Plum Organics.

~ Four Sets of Address Labels & Free Shipping from Tiny Prints :
A code that would allow for 96 Free Address Labels and Free Shipping with a minimum purchase of $99.
That’s a sweet gesture and good timing for the holidays!

~ Lastly, I added a special purchase to our November Box, since we were already getting a ‘shipment’.
Since Bean loved his Hohner Kids Tambourine in October’s box, I opted to get him a kid’s harmonica… he loves it, though he doesn’t know how to use it yet himself… he loves holding up to our faces so that we’ll play it for him! Cute!

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent more than $47, not including shipping & tax.

As always, looking forward to next month’s box! That Holiday’s are here!
It’s so fun watching my guys’ (hubs and boy) open the Citrus Lane box every month! :)

Good for the Soul! CitrusLane October ’13 Review

2 Nov

Yes! Bean’s October Citrus Lane! box was truly ‘good for the musical, cleanliness, and ‘do good’ soul’! 🙂

Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and I could not be more happy with their service!

Upon signing up, we provided age and gender of our little one and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s October 2013 box :

~ A Hohner Kids Toddler Tambourine :
Um, yeah, soooooo we received our box just a day before we were to head out on a flight for a visit to see family and friends for a week! As soon as Bean saw this safe for kids Toddler Tambourine he dropped everything to get his hands on it… and he has not been without it since, even through 4 flights and borrowed cars, he kept a tight-fisted hold on it!
And, yes, he actually does make music with it, I think it’s helped him understand music making a bit more and in this last month he’s started using his toys to ‘make music’ and has started dancing more and more, even moving his head to the beat! Dang Cute!
The tambourine is safe in that it’s the perfect size for baby’s grip, so they won’t drop it too often; it’s light-weight so they won’t flail about trying to ‘work it’; it has 4pairs of jingles secured within a safe housing so that little fingers won’t get stuck!
He’s been so taken with this tambourine, that I opted to include the add-on Hohner Harmonica to our November box.

~ An awesome bath toy by Boon :
Scrubble! Love this name! 🙂
These are coolio looking egg-shaped bath toys with fantastic colors and textures! They screw apart, so that they can be air-dried after bathing to keep mold at bay. Because they unscrew, they can be mixed and matched… so fun and cool looking!
So far Bean hasn’t quite figured out how to get water into them, but he loves when we do that for him… so it’s on the horizon… just another fun, developmental toy for him!
They are BPA, phthalte, and PVC Free.

~ Snacky Chips from Good Boy Organics : $1.50
We received a little snack bag of Sea Salt flavored BOPS (Backed Organic Potato Snacks)… they were pretty yummy and Bean really liked them too!
They are gluten-free and were nicely, not too salty, and there are other flavors… BBQ, White Chedder, Sour Cream & Chive… might be interested in looking to them further, if I see them out and about.

~ A Cricket Magazine :
BabyBug looks like a cute little ‘magazine’ for babes! I have to admit, my little guy does love board books (turning the ‘pages’ and sliding the interactive hide & find ones), though he doesn’t sit still for a whole book to be read to him! I should probably consider reading to him more. Whew! He’s just so interested in the world!
However, this little magazine is pretty smart… no staples, rounded corners, non-toxic ink… it’s a good find to have around the living room.
CitrusLane and Cricket, also, offered a 3Mth Digital subscription to BabyBug on-line!

Lastly, but most cool-ly, CitrusLane had the October boxes specially made with Pink Mustachios to pop out and ‘dress up’ baby with! In a movement called “Health Raisers” they incorporated Pink for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month AND Mustaches for November’s Movember/Men’s Health Awareness Month!!

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent more than $30, not including shipping & tax.

As always, we are excited for next month’s box!!!! Gobble Gobble!?!?

Bring on the cool design! CitrusLane September ’13 Review

16 Oct

Wow, our September Citrus Lane! box was really awesome and beautiful!

Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and I could not be more happy with their service!

Upon signing up, we provided age and gender of our little one and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month!  September was an awesome box with great designs that greatly pleased my Graphic Design trained hubs! !

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s September 2013 box :

~ A Charley Harper book :
WOW!  Absolutely gorgeous! We received the “123s” book,  Hubs pulled this book out of the box and said, “I love the design of this book!”… I knew we were getting a Charley Harper book, but I had no idea what to expected! I’m in love… this is one of my favorite of baby’s board books, luckily he likes it as well!
As an added bonus, Citrus Lane had beautiful artwork printed on the inside of the box! They recommend opening the whole box and letting baby color it in… then it can be wall art OR fold it back together and be a colored toy box! Awesome!

~ A wooden push toy by Hape Toy  :
Hee hee! So adorable! We received a little Baby Tiger push toy… Bean was already starting to push toy cars around… so it was fun for him to see this in his box! Hape Toys makes eco-friendly toys from sustainable materials! So cool!

~ Playful Wash from Episencial :
YUM! This smells delightful, a light citrus scent. It’s easy to use, because it rinses nice and clean off of baby. It leaves Bean’s skin soft and his hair looks so silky, yet it’s completely manageable! It’s really quite a nice product! Apparently, it’s the “#1 Organic Wash chosen by Hospitals”… that, of course, is quite impressive!

~ Soothing Cream from Episencial :
This is a nice, light, and unscented lotion. I used it as an all-over body cream on Bean after bathing with Playful Wash, it left his skin hydrated, but not greasy! It would be a perfect cream for when his little feet and hands get a bit dry.   It was created to comfort irritated baby skin with Neem, Calendula, and Probiotics.

~ Nail Color by Julep :
Lovely! I received the Coco color, deep and gorgeous! I LOVE that they have a Quiz to determine your best suited nail color and style profile… I was Boho Glam… what are you!?
I love having a nice nail and a facial day once a week at home… but with my new little one, my time is not as available as it once was… typically I’d just go for a nice buffed nail, since being a Jeweler gets to my nails/hands… but the colors at Julep AND the fact that they are Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde resin free is pretty tempting, to be sure!! 🙂

If I had purchased all these items individually… I’d have spent more than $45, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!

As always, we are excited for October’s box!!!!

All Fun for Little Dudes! CitrusLane August ’13 Review

21 Aug

Super fun times for our little dude!
We received that and much more in our August Citrus Lane! box!
Citrus Lane is a local Bay Area Peninsula company and I could not be more happy with their service!

Upon signing up, we provided age and gender of our little one and now receive a wonderful box of age-appropriate goodies every month! August proved to be such a fun box for little dude!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s August 2013 box :

~ A Crocodile Creek Ball:
Our little guy is in love with balls… all sizes and materials. We just started noticng this pattern within the last few weeks, so imagine our surprise when inside our Citrus Lane box was an awesome 5″ Playground Ball, Blue with Firetrucks on it!
Little Dude’s eyes opened so wide when he spotted it and he started chanting his word for ball… ‘Ba’!
These balls are free from PVC, Vinyl, and BPA!

~ A new Barefoot Books board book :
We received a fun board book from Barefoot Books before and this one is just as cute and fun.
“Cleo’s Color Book” features the main character, Cleo, a little orange kitty who explores the world of color. She, also, has other exploring books for numbers and the alphabet!
I’m pretty excited about this book… as we’ve been taking Baby Sign Language and have learned all our colors and other fun signs for toys, adventures outside and in, and tons of other useful signs! Thus, we’ll be able to read and sign this book to little dude!

~ Organic socks from iPlay! :
Ummmm… I’m kind of a dork when it comes to socks… I love them!  I love different materials, patterns, themes, lengths, etc. One of my favorite things to buy little dude are… you guessed it… socks!! And I must have done a good job of it, because people always comment on his cute socks; and socks that match outfits; and yadda yadda!
So, when Hubs pulled out the little pair of iPlay Organic Cotton Socks, he said, “OH! Something that mama’s gonna love.”
Hee hee hee! That is very true! 🙂

~ Little Yums from Plum Organics :
A little pack of Spinach, Apple, Kale Little Yums teething wafers…  we haven’t really tried teething biscuits yet (we’ve been successful with other methods of relief), but little dude really has taken to feeding himself, what with five teeth after all! So, anything he can hold onto himself and eat is super-duper in his book! These Little Yums just might work out! I like that they have the veggies… I’m a little hesitant that they have cane sugar… of course, though, everything is organic and I do like that!

~ Sanitizing Wipes from Clean Well :
We, already, really like Clean Well hand wipes in our household (and car and diaper bag!) They have a great variety of sizes and wipes or sprays.
I typically just go with the Original Scent, but received an Orange Vanilla canister of 40 wipes… it’s pretty yummy smelling! 🙂
They are alcohol-free, biodegradeable and use thyme to naturally kill germs!

~ a FREE outfit from FabKids.com!! : $39.95
Wow! This was a pretty cool gift code for one free 3-piece outfit ($39.95) from the cool clothing subscription site, FabKids.com!

Granted the outfits are for 2T and up… though they are SO cute I just had to use my code (not just let it expire) and get an outfit that will be perfect for my Awesome guy’s future coolness! I paid just $5 for shipping and every month thereafter I will receive an opportunity to purchase other outfits…. or I can skip a month… or I can cancel/postpone my membership!
It was fun to go shopping on this site and I’m eager to receive our outfit!

If I had purchased all these items, separately, for myself… I’d have spent at least $60, not including shipping & tax.
We, also, received great coupon codes for almost every company/item represented in the box!

Excited for September’s box!!!! It’s so fun watching my guys’ (hubs and boy) open the Citrus Lane box every month! :)

Full of Yummy Goodness! CitrusLane July ’13 Review

15 Jul

Full of fun, yummy, and cute goodies… yep, that’s what we received in our July Citrus Lane! box!

I took advantage of the option to add-an additional item to our box… a Zippered Wet/Dry bag by Bumkins.  We wanted to go for this since our babe has been going to swim lessons and this will be great to take with us to class!

Here’s a look inside Citrus Lane’s July 2013 box :

~ An ‘on-the-go’ by Zoli Travel Snack Dispenser:
This BPA and phthalae free on-the-go dispenser looks like a great item to bring along for baby’s snacks.
Dried food will fair best and with 4 different compartments I will have lots of options for baby! 🙂
Hey! I could even use an empty dispenser to mix up a bit of the included NutureMe baby food powder!

~ A pouch of NuturMe organic dried baby food! :
I already know I love this brand… I get their Organic Quinoa Cereal and add a few dashes of it to baby’s water.
I’ve been wanting to try out their other products and now’s our chance… We received Organic Bananas, Oatmeal, and Sweet Potatoes, which I promptly tucked away in the diaper bag to go with our Zoli on-the-go dispenser!
They even provided a $15 off code for our next order. Yep! I’ll be taking advantage of that!

~ A Melissa & Doug Toy! :
UH!!! We Love Melissa & Doug in our house… and we already have the Wiggling Worm Snake that was included in our box… which basically just made us feel like Super Fantastic parents for keeping on top of great toy options for baby!

~ A travel size set of California Baby Shampoo & Body Wash and Conditioner

~ Ten free Postagram photo postcards!! :
Cute little personalized photo postcards with perforation to punch out the little photo… great to mail to grandparents, aunties and uncles, or Hey! Just send yourself a few photos of your wee one to keep in your wallet!

~ Some Little Buddy Wipes :
These Fresh Cucumber & Tea Tree wipes by me4kidz are “alcohol & sting free antibacterial wipes.”
I’m funny, but I actually like the smell of Tea Tree and I’ve always loved the Cucumber sent… so I bet these smell pretty good! 🙂 Though, I’m going to pass on these since the EWG.org had a bit more info about the active ingredient.

If I were to have purchased all these items on my own I’d have spent about $38 not including shipping & tax and not including the added wet/dry bag, which was $14 and shipped in my box for free.
Whole deal delivered, shipping included, for much less and we got some fun stuff and great coupon codes!

In anticipation of August’s box!!!! Woot! :)
